Syntaxin 4 - 110-4P

Ubiquitous plasma membrane protein involved in fusion of vesicles with the plasma membrane
control protein
Cat. No.: 110-4P
Amount: 100 µg
Price: $90.00
Cat. No. 110-4P 100 µg protein, lyophilized. For reconstitution add 100 µl H2O to get a 1mg/ml solution in TBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C until use.
Immunogen Recombinant protein corresponding to AA 1 to 273 from rat Syntaxin4 (UniProt Id: Q08850)
Recommended dilution Optimal concentrations should be determined by the end-user.
Matching antibodies 110 041, 110 042, 110 043
Remarks

This control protein consists of the recombinant protein (aa 1 - 273) that has been used for immunization. It has been tested in preadsorption experiments and blocks efficiently and specifically the corresponding signal in Western blots. The amount of protein needed for efficient blocking depends on the titer and on the affinity of the antibody to the antigen.

Background

Syntaxin 4, a member of the SNARE family of proteins, is related to syntaxin 1. Like syntaxin 2 it is predominantly localized to the plasma membrane of a wide variety of cells. Similar to syntaxins 1, 2, and 3, it appears to be involved in the fusion of transport vesicles with the plasma membrane.
