Cat. No. 420 011	100 µg purified IgG, lyophilized. Albumin and azide were added for stabilization. For reconstitution add 100 µl H₂O to get a 1mg/ml solution in PBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C until use. Antibodies should be stored at +4°C when still lyophilized. Do not freeze!

Background

S100A1, also known as S100A, or S100 alpha, is a 10 kDa member of the S100 family and contains 2 EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. In contrast to S100B which is composed of two beta chains, S100A1 contains an alpha and a beta chain. It is expressed in heart, skeletal muscle and brain where it plays a major role in regulating calcium-dependent contractility.
