Synaptic Systems

Dear newsletter subscriber,

Synaptic Systems offers several antibodies against proteins which are important in brain development. This month two new antibodies targeting proteins important for the development of the layering in the cortex came on sale. First, MDGA1, also referred as GPIM, is a GPI-anchored adhesion protein which is required for radial migration of cortical neurons. The antibody is KO-validated and shows excellent results in IHC. Second, the KO-validated rabbit antibody against Vimentin, an intermediate filament protein which is often used as marker for radial glia cells is now also available affinity-purified.
We added several more interesting antibodies to our portfolio: A rabbit antibody against SENP1, a SUMO-specific protease which can catalyze the final step of maturation of the SUMOs and also the cleavage of SUMO from the modified proteins. A Guinea pig antibody against c-Fos further complementing our well-known c-Fos products. Last but not least, we offer several single domain secondary antibodies developed by NanoTag coupled with our new dye AcidiFlour Orange. This pH-sensitive dye from GORYO Chemicals exhibit extraordinary Signal/Noise ratios and photo stability.
