Four brain fractions (10 µg/lane) probed with monoclonal antibodies against synaptophysin (cat. no. 101 011), an abundant synaptic vesicle protein, and NMDA-R1 (cat. no. 114 001), a more rare protein located in the post-synaptic density . Synaptophysin is enriched in the LP2 fraction whereas NMDA-R1 is completely absent from this fraction. NMDA-R1 is enriched in the LP1 fraction which includes the post-synaptic density. |
