Polyclonal rabbit antibody
Cat. No. 314 002 crude antiserum	200 µl antiserum, lyophilized. For reconstitution add 200 µl H₂O, then aliquot and store at -20°C until use.
Cat. No. 314 003 purified antibody	50 µg specific antibody, lyophilized. Affinity purified with the immunogen. Rabbit serum albumin was added for stabilization. For reconstitution add 50 µl H₂O to get a 1mg/ml solution of antibody in PBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C until use.

Immunogen	Recombinant mouse tau (aa 3 - 214).
Reactivity	Human, rat, mouse; other species not tested yet.
Specificity	Specific for tau.
Remarks	The antibody binds phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated tau proteins.

Control protein
Cat. No. 314-0P	100 µg lyophilized protein. For reconstitution add 100 µl H₂O to get a 1mg/ml solution in TBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C until use.
Recommended dilution	Optimal concentrations should be determined by the end-user.
Remarks	This control protein consists of the recombinant protein (aa 3 - 214 of mouse tau) that has been used for immunization. It has been tested in preadsorption experiments and blocks efficiently and specifically the corresponding signal in Western blots. The amount of protein needed for efficient blocking depends on the titer and on the affinity of the antibody to the antigen.
