Cat. No. 101 011 IgG, unlabeled	50 µg purified IgG, lyophilized. For reconstitution add 50 µl H₂O to get a 1mg/ml solution of antibody in PBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C until use.
Cat. No. 101 011C2 IgG, fluorescence-labeled	50 µg purified IgG, lyophilized, fluorescence-labeled with Oyster^® 488. Rabbit serum albumin was added for stabilization. For reconstitution add 50 µl H₂O to get a 1mg/ml solution of antibody in PBS. Add 1:1 (v/v) glycerol, then aliquot and store at -20°C until use. Reconstitute immediately upon receipt! Avoid bright light when working with the antibody to minimize photo bleeching of the fluorescent dye. The mounting agent Aquatex^® (Merck Chemicals) is not compatible with Oyster dyes!

Immunogen	Electrophoretically purified synaptophysin.
Epitope	Reacts with cytoplasmic tail.
Reactivity	Human, rat, mouse, mammals; weaker reaction in birds, reptilia, amphibia, zebrafish.
Specificity	Specific for synaptophysin 1, no cross-reactivity to other synaptophysins.
Remarks	Widely used as marker for nerve terminals and neuroendocrine tumors. Works also well with paraffin embedded material. For still unknown reason, neuronal synaptophysin is better recognised than neuroendocrine synaptophysin. If this is a problem, the polyclonal rabbit antibody, cat. no. 101 002, is recommended. ELISA: Suitable as capture antibody for sandwich-ELISA with cat. no. 101 002 as detector antibody (protocol for sandwich-ELISA).
