Polyclonal rabbit antibody
Cat. No. 142 002 crude antiserum	200 µl antiserum, lyophilized. For reconstitution add 200 µl H₂O, then aliquot and store at -20°C until use.
Cat. No. 142 003 purified antibody	50 µg specific antibody, lyophilized. Affinity purified with the immunogen. Rabbit serum albumin was added for stabilization. For reconstitution add 50 µl H₂O to get a 1mg/ml solution of antibody in PBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C until use.

Immunogen	Recombinant rat piccolo (aa 4439 - 4776).
Reactivity	Rat, mouse, chicken; other species not tested yet.
Specificity	Specific for piccolo.
Remarks	Due to its large size, piccolo requires special gel-electrophoresis and Western blot protocols for visualization by immunoblotting. Excellent results can be obtained with the 4-12% TRIS-glycine gradient gels of anamed. Cat. no. 142 002: This antibody detects an additional band of ~65 kDa. Cat. no. 142 003: This antibody does not detect the 65 kDa band. Only part of the immunogen (aa 4440 - 4574) has been used for purification.

Control protein
Cat. No. 142-0P	100 µg lyophilized protein. For reconstitution add 100 µl H₂O to get a 1mg/ml solution in TBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C until use.
Recommended dilution	Optimal concentrations should be determined by the end-user.
Remarks	This control protein consists of the recombinant protein (aa 4439 - 4776) that has been used for immunization. It has been tested in preadsorption experiments and blocks efficiently and specifically the corresponding signal in Western blots. The amount of protein needed for efficient blocking depends on the titer and on the affinity of the antibody to the antigen.
