Cat. No. 141 004 crude antiserum |
100 µl antiserum, lyophilized. For reconstitution add 100 µl H2O, then aliquot and store at -20°C until use. |
| Applications |
WB: 1 : 1000 (AP staining) blot

| Immunogen | Recombinant protein containing the 330 C-terminal aa of rat bassoon. |
| Reactivity | Rat, mouse, no signal in chicken; other species not tested yet. |
| Specificity | Specific for bassoon. |
| Remarks | Due to its large size, bassoon requires special gel-electrophoresis and Western blot protocols for visualization by immunoblotting. Excellent results can be obtained with the 4-12% TRIS-glycine gradient gels of anamed. |
| Control protein for all antibodies | |
| Cat. No. 141-0P |
100 µg lyophilized protein. For reconstitution add 100 µl H2O to get a 1mg/ml solution in TBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C until use. |
| Recommended dilution | Optimal concentrations should be determined by the end-user. |
| Remarks | This control protein consists of the recombinant protein that has been used for immunization. It has been tested in preadsorption experiments and blocks efficiently and specifically the corresponding signal in Western blots. The amount of protein needed for efficient blocking depends on the titer and on the affinity of the antibody to the antigen. |
